Ian Fraser Kilmister è nato la notte di Natale del 1945. Imparando da giovane che le ragazze apprezzano molto un ragazzo con la chitarra e ispirato dalla musica di Elvis e Buddy Holly, Lemmy è velocemente andato oltre il suo primo gruppo in Galles, scegliendo di dirigersi a Manchester per fare esperienza con tutto quello su cui poteva mettere le mani. Lemmy all’inizio della sua carriera è stato con i Rocking Vicars, poi, stando dietro le quinte, ha girato in tour con Jimi Hendrix ed è stato membro degli Opal Butterfly e degli Hawkwind. Nel 1975 ha formato i leggendari Motorhead.

Durante i loro ventotto anni di storia i Motorhead hanno pubblicato ventuno album, sono stati nominati per un Grammy e hanno conquistato il mondo con canzoni come Ace Of Spades, Bomber e Overkill. Attraverso la creazione della loro impressionante discografia la formazione dei Motorhead ha visto molti cambiamenti, ma Lemmy è sempre rimasto fermamente al comando.

White Line Fever, un viaggio attraverso gli eccessi di un uomo autentico nella sua musica e nei suoi piaceri, offre un qualche volta scherzoso, spesso oltraggioso, ma altamente coinvolgente viaggio col leader di una delle più fragorose rock band del mondo.

La band nel 2000 ha celebrato il suo venticinquesimo anniversario. Lemmy attualmente vive a Los Angeles, a pochi passi dal Rainbow, il più vecchio bar Rock di Hollywood.

Ian Fraser Kilmister was born on Christmas Eve, 1945. Learning from an early age that chicks really do appreciate a guy with a guitar, and inspired by the music of Elvis and Buddy Holly, Lemmy quickly outgrew his local bands in Wales, choosing instead to head to Manchester to experience everything he could get his hands on. And he has never looked back.

Lemmy tripped thorugh his early career with the Rocking Vicars, backstage touring with Jimi Hendrix, as a member of Opal Butterfly and his time with Hawkwind. In 1975 he went on to create speedmetal and form the legendary band Motorhead.

During their twenty-seven-year history, Motorhead have released twenty-one albums, have been nominated for a Grammy, and have conquered the rock world with such songs as ‘Ace Of Spades’, ‘Bomber’ and ‘Overkill’. Throughout the creation of this impressive discography the Motorhead line-up has seen many changes, but Lemmy has always been firmly at the helm.

White Line Fever, a headbanging tour through the excesses of a man being true to his music and pleasures, offers a sometimes hilarious, often outrageous, but highly entertaining ride with the frontman of the loudest rock band in the world.

The band recently celebrated their twenty-fifth anniversary in the business. Lemmy currently lives in Los Angeles, just a short walk away from the Rainbow, the oldest rock’n’roll bar in Hollywood.
