Lemmy è nato a Stoke-on-Trent, in Inghilterra. Artisticamente caratterizzato da una scelta di suono rude e deciso e una voce molto greve, durante la sua attività pluridecennale ha creato e consolidato la sua immagine di icona del Rock ed è da anni uno dei musicisti più riconoscibili al mondo. La sua carriera e il suo stile di vita esasperato sono stati segnati da eventi irripetibili che hanno il sapore della leggenda. Ha iniziato a suonare la chitarra ritmica in piccoli club e poi ha inciso alcuni singoli e un album. Dopo essere stato roadie di Jimi Hendrix, ha iniziato a suonare il basso negli Hawkwind, storico gruppo psichedelico inglese, fino al giugno del 1975, quando ha fondato i Motorhead.
Ha vastissime conoscenze storiche e, rimanendo in tema, ritiene che il suo capolavoro sia la canzone March Or Die. La sua enorme passione per la storia e i cimeli delle ultime guerre mondiali hanno portato, erroneamente, molti fan a pensare che fosse razzista. Lo stesso Lemmy ha dovuto sempre far presente di essere tutt'altro che razzista. Come una volta spiegò in un intervista rilasciata in Italia: "Odio il razzismo, colleziono cimeli solo perché mi piacciono, ma non credo in queste cose...Penso che la gente cattiva (ad esempio i nazisti) produca sempre gli oggetti migliori".

Lemmy was born in Stoke-on-Trent, England. Artistically characterised by a rough and decide sound and a heavy voice, during his pluri-decennial activity he created and consolidated his image of Rock'n'Roll icon and he is for years one of the most recognisable musicians in the world. His career and exasperated lifestyle have been signed by unrepeatable events that have the makings of legend. He began to play the rhythm guitar in small clubs and then recorded some singles and one album with some bands. After he was a Jimi Hendrix roadie, he began to play bass in Hawkwind, an historical English psychedelic band, until June 1975, when he formed Motorhead.
Lemmy has a wide historical knowledge and, remaining in theme, he retains that his masterpiece is the song March Or Die. His boundless passion for memorabilia of the world wars brought many fans, wrongly, to believe he is a racist. Nevertheless, Lemmy himself always had to tell he isn't racist at all. As once he explained in an interview released in Italy: "I hate racism, I just collect memorabilia because it looks good, they make the best shit. I think the bad guys always make the best shit".
Lemmy is currently living in Los Angeles.

Phil Campbell è nato a Pontypridd, nel Galles, da madre italiana e padre gallese. Si trovava a Londra a principio del 1984 col suo gruppo Persian Risk, quando seppe che Lemmy cercava un nuovo chitarrista e si presentò per una audizione. Da allora Phil è rimasto un fedele membro dei Motorhead, e tutt'oggi è quello che vanta la permanenza più lunga a fianco di Lemmy. Phil ha fatto il suo primo concerto da qualche parte in Gran Bretagna e sappiamo con certezza che il secondo è stato in Finlandia, ad Helsinki, il 26 Aprile del 1984.
Phil ha sempre dimostrato di essere un ottimo chitarrista e dobbiamo a lui alcuni degli assoli di chitarra più struggenti dell'intera discografia dei Motorhead.

Phil Campbell was born in Pontypridd, Wales, from mum Italian and dad Welsh.
He was in London on the beginning of 1984 with his band Persian Risk, when he knew that Lemmy was looking for a new guitarist, he took advantage to meet Lemmy himself for an audition. Phil played his first show somewhere in Great Britain and we know for sure his second one was in Finland, in Helsinki, on April the 26th 1984. Phil has been a faithful member since then. He is the longest serving member in Motorhead.
Phil always proved to be an excellent guitar player and produced some of the most longing guitar solos of the entire Motorhead discography.

Mikkey Dee è nato a Gotheborg, in Svezia. Ha iniziato la sua carriera precoce in piccoli gruppi e ha poi militato in band come King Diamond e Don Dokken fino all'inizio del 1992 quando, libero da impegni, si è potuto unire ai Motorhead dietro invito di Lemmy. La prima canzone registrata da Mikkey è Hellraiser, sull'album March Or Die. In quel disco è apparso come ospite e solo per quella canzone. Il suo primo concerto coi Motorhead l'ha sostenuto a Saratoga, negli USA, il 30 agosto 1992. Mikkey è un batterista superlativo, preciso e di grande gusto artistico. I suoi assoli sono bellissimi e di una potenza trascinante. E' impossibile che qualcuno rimanga indifferente ad una sua esibizione. Of a precocious talent, he began his career in small bands and later joined such as band as King Diamond and Don Dokken, until the beginning of 1992 when he was free and able to join Motorhead on Lemmy's request.
Mikkey's first recording with Motorhead is Hellraiser, from the March Or Die album. On that record he was just a guest musician and only for that song. He performed his first show with Motorhead in Saratoga, USA, August the 30th 1992.Mikkey is a superlative drummer. His solos are incredible and of a dragging power. "Philty Animal" Taylor was born in Chesterfield, England.He joined Motorhead in 1976, taking over Lucas Fox. He shared with Lemmy and Fast Eddie Clarke, the sudden rise to success of Motorhead, giving his personal touch to such good albums as Overkill and Bomber, still considered like Rock'n'Roll milestones. He left Motorhead the first time in spring 1984, to come back in February 1987. His personal matters lead him to broke up definitely with Motorhead, after having recorded I Ain't No Nice Guy for the March Or Die album. He performed his last show in Los Angeles, March the 28th 1992.

Wurzel was born in Cheltenham, England.He was playing in the pub circuit when hoping to join Motorhead, he auditioned in the beginning of 1984, when he knew Lemmy was looking for an unknown guitar player. He said to Lemmy: “Well, there is nobody more unknown than me”.So he then found himself debuting with Lemmy and new Motorhead with two lead guitars in April 1984, In Finland. Charismatic and of a volcanic spirit, Wurzel remained one of the Motorhead members who was closer to Lemmy’s image than anyone else. He left Motorhead the day after the release of Sacrifice, in April 1995. He played his last show with Motorhead in Hamburg, Germany, December the 22nd 1994.

Pete Gill è nato a Sheffield, in Inghilterra. Già batterista dei Saxon, si è unito ai Motorhead nella primavera del 1984, sostituendo Philty Animal Taylor quando lasciò i Motorhead per la prima volta.

Brian "Robbo" Robertson was born in Scotland.Extremely good guitar player, he was already famous for having played with Thin Lizzy. He was for years a drinking companion of Motorhead and so, when Fast Eddie Clarke left, Phil Taylor pushed for him.He performed his first show in Detroit, USA, May 21st 1982. Brian is co-author of the beautiful album Another Perfect Day and characterised it with very long guitar solos.He didn’t get on with Lemmy and Phil Taylor so he performed his last show November the 11th 1983 in Gothenburg, Sweden.

"Fast” Eddie Clarke è nato a Twickenham, in Inghilterra.Si è unito ai Motorhead nell’estate del 1976 affiancando Larry Wallis, che decise quasi subito di lasciare il gruppo. E’ stato artefice, con Lemmy e Phil taylor, della repentina scalata al successo dei Motorhead. Anche in tempi recenti in Inghilterra, quando ha raggiunto sul palco gli odierni Motorhead, molti fan hanno potuto cogliere il suo inconfondibile stile. Stile che ha caratterizzato i primi dischi dei Motorhead.Lasciò il gruppo all’improvviso, il 14 maggio 1982, subito dopo aver tenuto quella sera a New York, il suo ultimo concerto.

“Fast” Eddie Clarke was born in Twickenham, England. He joined Motorhead in the summer of 1976, playing guitar together with Larry Wallis, who decided almost right away to quit Motorhead. Fast Eddie has been complice, with Lemmy and Phil Taylor of the rise to success of Motorhead. Even in more recent times in England, when he joined Motorhead on stage, many fans had the chance to appreciate his unique style. Style that carachterised the first Motorhead albums. He left the band on the evening of May the 14th 1982, after he played his last show in New York.

Larry Wallis was Motorheads first guitarist.
Motorhead debuted with him, Lemmy and Lucas Fox in London, July the 20th 1975. The set list for that evening was: Motorhead – Leaving Here – Good Morning Little Schoolgirl – Lost Johnny – City Kids – Silver Machine – Waiting For The Man. He recorded On Parole, the first Motorhead LP, that was released only four years later.
The only tracks sung by Larry, Fools and Vibrator, appear on On Parole.
He left Motorhead in the summer of 1976 when Fast Eddie joined the band.

Lucas Fox è stato il primo batterista dei Motorhead.
La batteria in Lost Jhonny è la sua unica testimonianza nella discografia dei Motorhead. Le altre parti di batteria dell'album On Parole sono state registrate da Philthy Animal Taylor, a cui Lucas lasciò il posto nel 1976.
